Getting Here...

The 4Bs Bus/Bike service operates from Balloch the most accessible part of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The information given here is for travel to Balloch. For travel to other areas of the national park click here. For public transport journeys you are strongly advised to check your journey on Traveline. There are some services that only operate over the summer and for long distance coach journeys in particular you are advised to book seats in advance.

From Edinburgh :-
• By train to Glasgow (frequent service from Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket stations 30 minute journey time and onwards to Balloch (from Glasgow Queen Street 45 minutes journey time) see below for other alternatives from Glasgow.
• By coach/bus. Take City Link service 909 to Stirling and onwards by local bus or service to Glasgow and then 914 service for the west side loch Lomond and further north, or other service from Glasgow.
• By Car. From A720 ring road take M8 - A8 -M8 - M898 – Erskine bridge A82 signs to Balloch.

From Glasgow:-
• By Train frequent service from Glasgow Queen Street to Balloch journey time 45 minutes
• By train to Arrochar & Tarbet.
• By Car from Glasgow take the M8 north. Leave at junction 30 for the Erskine Bridge and follow the A82 for about 14 miles for Balloch.
• By coach /Bus City Link 914 service for the west side loch Lomond and further north.

From the north
• Take the A83 to Arrochar and to Tarbet where it joins the A82.
• From Fort William Take A82 south to Crianlarich and on to Tarbet and Balloch.
• By Train, the West Highland Line from Glasgow passes through the Park with stations at Arrochar& Tarbet, Ardlui, Crianlarich and Tyndrum. The same service from the North originates from Mallaig and Fort William. The service fits with the overnight train from London.
• By Bus/coach. City link service runs from Fort William servicing the West side of Loch Lomond. From Inverness National Express operates via Stirling too Glasgow, see connections from both places.
